Assessment Information

Each spring, Washington State students are assessed in English Language Arts (ELA), math and science. Students in 3rd-8th and 10th grades will take the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) in ELA and math, and 5th, 8th and 11th grade students will take the Washington Comprehensive Science Assessment (WCAS) in science. For more information on state testing, please visit the Washington Comprehensive Assessment Program.

In addition to the state assessments, Arlington Public Schools assesses students in all grades for screening, diagnostics, progress monitoring and benchmarking. The District Assessment Map is a listing of all the assessments given to students throughout the school year.
