Kindergarten Registration

2020-21 Kindergarten Registration

Registration for kindergarten and new student registration for the 2020-21 school year will take place at Eagle Creek, Kent Prairie, Presidents and Pioneer Elementary Schools at the following days and times:

Monday, May 4, 9 a.m. to noon
Thursday, May 7, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Monday, May 11, 9 a.m. to noon
Thursday, May 14, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Elementary schools will also hold registrations at the following days and times in addition to Haller and Post Middle Schools and Arlington and Weston High Schools:

Monday, May 18, 9 a.m. to noon
Thursday, May 21, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Similar to the Chromebook and paper packet pick-up that’s been happening the past few weeks, families will drive up to the school and a runner will take their packet from them. Runners will take the paperwork to the office for processing and will run any incomplete forms or documents needing a signature back to the family.

Registration packets are available on the district website in various languages. Families should complete the packet before coming to the school. If a family is unable to complete the packet, they will be handed one on a clipboard and directed to park in a slot. Once they have completed the paperwork, they will pull back up to the curb.

To be eligible for next year’s kindergarten program, a child must be at least five years old by Aug. 31, 2020. The following documents are required to register your child for kindergarten:

  • Immunization records. The following are the new types of immunization documentation that can be accepted:
    • A Certificate of Immunization Status (CIS) printed from the Immunization Information System (IIS);
    • A physical copy of the CIS form with a healthcare provider’s signature;
    • A physical copy of the CIS form with accompanying medical immunization records from a healthcare provider verified and signed by school staff; or
    • A CIS printed from MyIR
  • Proof of residency (power bill or the first page of a lease or purchase and sale agreement will meet the criteria of proof of residency)
  • Your child’s birth certificate or other official forms of documentation
