Student Advisor - Senior

Ms. Madeline AndrichMadeline Andrich

Hello, my name is Madeline Andrich and I'm a Senior at Arlington High School. I used to live in Medina, Ohio, a small town south of Cleveland. I moved to Washington six years ago with my family. Being new to the community, I immediately sought out opportunities to get more involved. I became active with youth volleyball at the Boys and Girls Club and Haller Middle School. I volunteered with our church youth group and participated in the Expanding Your Horizons STEM program for girls two years in a row. In addition, you may have seen me coaching with Arlington Youth Cheerleading, volunteering at Eagle Creek and Kent Prairie Elementary Schools, or volunteering at the Arlington Food Bank. All of these opportunities have strengthened my desire to be an upstanding citizen in my new hometown.

Not only do I love being involved in my community, but I strive to keep a standing GPA of 4.0 and have since middle school. Schooling and my future are very important to me. In my Junior year, I was inducted into the Arlington chapter of the National Honor Society. I also plan to attend a four-year college, studying Veterinary medicine. While working on my degree, I hope to become a Vet Tech to gain as many hands-on experiences as I can while finishing my last years of veterinarian schooling. I was blessed to be given the opportunity last summer to intern at a local Veterinary practice here in Arlington. This experience strengthened my desire, even more, to continue with my future goal of becoming a veterinarian.

Serving on the school board as a Student Advisor is truly an amazing opportunity. It will help me continue to be involved in our community and I look forward to continuing to work side by side with talented people who also want to keep Arlington Public Schools a safe place to learn and grow. I am honored to represent my peers and to have been chosen for this position.
