Arlington Public Schools waives fees for summer school
Summer SchoolArlington Public Schools is waiving all fees for credit retrieval and credit advancement for this year’s summer school. In the past unless a student qualified for Free and Reduced Lunch, the fee was $150 per class. This year, the district is able to use Elementary and Secondary School Relief (ESSER) funding which is part of the federal Coronavirus, Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA).

“We want to remove barriers and increase access to advancing academic success and well-being for all students,” said Dr. Chrys Sweeting, Superintendent. “These funds will help students recover and gain additional credits this summer.”

Arlington has a history of making programs accessible and making sure all students are prepared for learning. Since 2016-17, the district has paid for school supplies for all Arlington students and in 2019, the Arlington School Board eliminated athletic fees for students.

Summer School runs June 21 through July 16.
