School supplies provided for Arlington students

School supplies continue to be provided for Arlington students
School SuppliesBasic school supplies for all Arlington students will continue to be provided by the Arlington School District. The district has supplied basic school supplies for all students since 2016.

In 2014, a Fees Committee reviewed the costs of items like school supplies that impacted families. The school board gave direction to find ways to ease the impact of fees on families and approved providing basic school supplies to students.

Elementary families are asked to provide backpacks for their children and middle and high school students require binders, dividers, pencils and backpacks (optional). Resources are available at the schools for those families who require assistance.

In addition to covering the cost of school supplies, the school board eliminated athletic participation fees for middle and high school students starting with the 2019-20 school year.

“"We are grateful for our partnership with families and glad we can take care of the school supplies and athletic fees to help our students have a great start to the new school year," said Dr. Chrys Sweeting, Superintendent.
