Working together with the leadership of AEA and PSE, we have negotiated how to address the working condition impacts of COVID-19. For AEA, a Memo of Understanding has been approved and for PSE, Frequently Asked Questions have been developed. Given the evolving nature of the current health situation, monitoring the impacts is an ongoing process. Thank you to everyone for remaining patient and flexible during these unprecedented times.

All bargaining groups have finalized negotiations regarding School Employees Benefit Board (SEBB).

The Arlington Education Association (AEA) ratified a one year extension of their contract with 98.5% approval on Jan. 7, 2020 and the APS School Board approved the agreement on Jan. 13, 2020.

Nov. 12, 2019

Beginning Jan. 1, 2020, the state of Washington is moving all school employees to School Employees Benefit Board (SEBB) through the Washington State Health Care Authority for insurance needs. The impacts and implications of implementing SEBB are being discussed with each bargaining group.
